The course is flat and fast and will be run all on paths completely within the perimeter of the park and will be traffic free. Our sponsor for the last year is the The Therapy Guy, a sports therapy specialist based in Leyton. For the last 12 years, East London Runners donates the race surplus and cake stall proceeds to local charities. This year, our charity of choice will be The Magpie Project They provide a safe and fun place for mums and pre-school children suffering in temporary or insecure accomodation RACE DETAILS Race start: 7.30pm, Wednesday 10th June 2026 Race HQ: In the park near the Melbourne Road Entrance, IG1 4LG Race packs will be available for collection by your club representatives between 6.00pm and 07.00pm - your timing chip will be attached to your race number NO TRANSFERS prior to, or on race day. Unofficial transfers will be removed from the final results. Entries on the day accepted till 7pm at the price of £12 for Affiliated runners and £14 for non-Affiliated ones. We are proudly inclusive of all members of the LGBT+ community and we welcome entrants as female, male or non-binary. UKA rules dictate that only male and female runners qualify for ranking purposes, however all non-binary times will be captured in the overall race results. TRANSPORT There is pay parking (RingGo) available in the park (£6.40 for the day and £3.10 for 2 hours) and in the local streets. Bags can be left near the registration area at owner's own risk. First aiders will be available around the course for your safety. If you feel ill or notice anyone else in distress, please inform a marshal. Gender-neutral toilets are located at Valentines mansion cafe. COURSE A two lap flat and fast 5 km course run all on paths completely within the perimeter of the park and will be traffic free. Other park users will be using the park so please take care, and observe the marshals' instructions. Full Licence ID: 31367 AGE RESTRICTIONS The race is open to anyone aged 15 or over. There is no upper age limit. PRIZES Water will be available to all finishers . Prizes will be awarded to the following categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd individual male 1st, 2nd, and 3rd individual female 1st VM40, VM50, VM60, VM70 and VM80 individuals 1st VF40, VF50, VF60,VF70 and VM80 individuals Runners awarded an individual prize for finishing in any of the overall top 3 places will be ignored when awarding the prizes for age categories. We will also have a prize for a mixed team composed of the 3 first female and 3 first males of an affiliated club including at least 1 Vet for each gender. This race comprises the fourth leg of the 2026 East London V Interclub Series (ELVIS), see: http://www.elvisraces.club/. However, members of any running club, or no running club are very welcome to join. Entries in advance please. No transfers. No refunds. See below for a variety of travel options. Race Details Race Date: Tuesday 23 June 2026 Race Time: Starts 7.30pm. Registration and number collection: between 6.30pm and 7.20pm. Location: Hopkins Field (near Waterden Road), QEOP, London, E20 3BS (please note this is about 400m west of the Velopark). Price: We have an Early Bird offer of £11 Affiliated, and £13 Unaffiliated. ending Thursday 30th April. From Friday 1st May, prices are £12 Affiliated, and £14 Unaffiliated. We also offer a limited on the day offer of £18 Affiliated, and £20 Unaffiliated. Licence: The race is licensed by UKA with a certificate of course accuracy. Timing: Chip-timed by Krono Sports. Course: It is a fast 2-lap course on paved paths of the north area of the Park. Headphones: As per England Athletics guidelines, use of Headphones are banned from this event. (With the exception of Bone-Conducting Headphones). Inclusiveness: East End Road Runners are proud supporters of the LGBT+ Community and welcome all entrants as female, male and non-binary. Toilets will be available in the Velopark (about 400m to the east of the registration and start point) Baggage: Bags can be left (spaced from one another) near the registration area at owners own risk. Car Parking: There are two large multi-storey carparks in the vicinity: The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Multi-Story Car Park (E15 2HB) is located by the Here East complex, just 5 mins' walk from the race village. Stratford International Station Car Park (E20 1YY) is located by Stratford International Station, which is about 15 mins' walk away. Public Transport: Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive by public transport. Stratford International, Stratford, Hackney Wick and Leyton stations are all within a 20 minute walk of the start. Busses 388, 97, 308, and W15 all stop within 10 minutes walk of the start. Cycling: There are five Santander Cycles stations (available for hire or docking) located within 5-mins walk of the start. There are also numerous bike racks in the area for cyclists bringing their own bikes (please bring your own lock). The closest racks are located outside Clarinco Club Cafe on Waterden Rd (E15 2GY). Prizes: There will be 14 prizes based on gun-time results. 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female; 1st male and female vet in age categories 40, 50, 60 and 70. There will be a maximum of one prize per person.
