Saturday 31st January 2026 - Chingford League Race 6 - Victoria Park 5 Miles

Race HQ Postcode: E9 5EG Please note that parking is difficult near the clubhouse. Also the organisers asked that you be alerted to the planned engineering on the Central Line.

Race time:

• U11/13s start at 10:15 - earlier than usual to ease overcrowding.

• U11s 1 small lap of the park, U13s 2 small laps.
Seniors (5m) and U15/17s (c4.5k) start at 11am

Runners should use their number bibs from previous races. Please let Amit and Cathy know if you require a number.

Vicky Park have an excellent clubhouse as we all know. Toilets and refreshments will be available.

But please could we all be aware that with 500+ runners coming, if everyone leaves their bag in the clubhouse there'll be no room for people! And if all 500 people try to get into the clubhouse at the same time, there'll be chaos.

So PLEASE leave bags in groups by your club flag outside the clubhouse.

Please be aware that additional toilets are available right by the course route at the VP cafe hub E9 7DD. The facilities here are actually nearer to the senior start than VPH clubhouse.
Additional volunteers always welcome!

Thanks

Cathy and Amit
Winter League Captains

Sunday 1st February 2026 - ELR Winter Handicap Race - Mill Plain, top of Chelmsford Road, South Woodford - 10.00am prompt start.

This is an ELR 5 mile cross country handicap race in Epping Forest. Your handicap will be calculated based on your recent 5K time. The slowest runners start first and the fast runners start last, therefore anyone could be first to the finish line!

The start will be at 10.00am prompt.
Location: Mill Plain, top of Chelmsford Road, South Woodford.

We need volunteers (marshals and people for the course set up), as well as plenty of runners. Please add your name to race entries, or email info@eastlondonrunners.org.uk if you would like to take part on the day. Trail shoes or cross country studs are strongly recommended if you are running.
